MACON/ATLANTA — More than 1,500 students will participate in graduation ceremonies on Mercer University’s Macon and Atlanta campuses in May. Mercer President William D. Underwood will confer bachelors’, masters’ and doctoral degrees during 10 commencements, and graduates will hear from an array of renowned speakers, including three prominent Mercerians.
Among those speaking will be national television legal analyst Nancy Grace and renowned economist Arthur B. Laffer Sr. Mercer alumna and trustee Grace, host of Headline News’ popular legal analysis program “Nancy Grace,” will give the keynote address at the May 10 commencement, which includes the University’s five undergraduate schools and colleges in Macon. Grace is a 1981 graduate of Mercer’s College of Liberal Arts and 1984 graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law. Widely known as the “father of supply-side economics,” Arthur B. Laffer Sr. will be the featured speaker at the Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics commencement in Atlanta on May 17.
