George School of Law, will give a breakfast presentation at 7:30 a.m. in the Presidents Dining Room in the University Center on Mercer's Macon campus. She will give a lunch presentation at noon in the Trustees Dining Room on Mercer's Atlanta campus.   Grace is the final presenter for the 2003-2004 speakers series of The Executive Forum, a business outreach program of Mercer's Eugene W. ATLANTA - Rachel L. Davenport of Stone Mountain, Ga., received the prestigious Reuben C. Hood Award during the 2007 commencement of Mercer University's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in May. Given in honor of a founder and longtime dean of the 103-year-old College, the award is presented annually to the student who has the highest scholastic average in the graduating class of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. Dr. Davenport completed her four years of pharmacy studies at Mercer with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

MACON - Because of inclement weather at the host site on Jan. 19, the Georgia Collegiate Wrestling Championships were postponed and moved to Mercer University. The event will now be held Saturday, Jan. 26 in the gymnasium of the Communication and Theater Arts on Mercer's Macon campus.
MACON, Ga. - Friday was supposed to be a day to celebrate the end of another successful year at Mercer University. However, due to the tornadoes that ripped through middle Georgia on Sunday the Mercer Staff Council has opted to help victims by not only donating funds budgeted for their annual picnic, but also by volunteering their time Friday afternoon to help storm victims.

ATLANTA - Mercer University's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing announced today that it has named Laura P. Kimble, Ph.D., R.N., currently an associate professor of nursing at Georgia State University, as the College's inaugural Piedmont Healthcare Endowed Chair in Nursing, effective July 1. The appointment follows an extensive national search for an outstanding academic scholar who will have a vital role in advancing the new Ph.D. in nursing, which begins this fall.
