Maegan Ennis recently graduated from Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in biology.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be teaching high school science at Veterans High School in Kathleen while getting my Master of Arts in Teaching in secondary education.

What was your favorite class and why?

Field studies in biology. It was a spring break study abroad experience, so I got to go snorkeling in Belize!

How do you plan on changing the world?

By being a good friend to those around me and teacher to my students. Sometimes all it takes is one kind and caring person to make your day better.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Spend the first week doing a bunch of stuff, and then pick two things and commit to them. This is where you will find your people and really get plugged in rather than jumping around and being flaky.

What makes Mercer special to you?

It’s where I met my favorite people in the world!
