Maya Henry recently graduated from Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience.
What are your plans after graduation?
I will be going to the University of Georgia for a Master of Science in comparative biomedical sciences and applying to medical school.
Who was your favorite professor and why?
Dr. Andy Digh, professor of computer science, lit a spark and inspired me as soon as I had him for UNV 101 my freshman year. He embodies the spirit of Mercer University.
What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?
My favorite Mercer memory was running in the rain during the Mercer versus Auburn game my sophomore year. It was such a small moment in time, but I’ll always think of that memory when i think of Mercer.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Enjoy right now, today. Meet new people, go to new places and enjoy the Mercer experience.
What makes Mercer special to you?
The closeness and generosity of everyone on campus makes Mercer so special to me.
