Morgan Taylor recently graduated from Mercer University’s College of Professional Advancement with a Master of Science in criminal justice and public safety leadership.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I hope to become an advocate for juvenile justice and rehabilitation by working for the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Dr. Lynn Tankersley. She made our online classes interesting, and I enjoyed taking her courses throughout my tenure at Mercer. She ensures her students are set up for success, always.

How do you plan on changing the world?

I plan on changing the world by giving back to my community, one step at a time. I hope to open and lead nonprofit organizations geared toward assisting at-risk youth.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

My advice would be to do what your heart says. Take your time, as your path is yours only to follow. Obstacles and detours will happen, but remember the end goal and your “why.”

What makes Mercer special to you?

Mercer had the exact program I needed, and it felt just right. I searched for months for the perfect school to get my master’s degree. Each student, each professor, each Mercer rep was extremely helpful and supportive the entire time. Mercer will always hold a special place in my heart.
