Tracy Rodriguez is graduating from Mercer University‘s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to pursue my Master of Business Administration at Mercer University.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Andrés Marroquín, associate professor of economics, is an excellent professor who is genuinely invested in the success of his students. He delivers engaging lectures, shares his valuable experience and offers ample opportunities for learning.

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

As a part of the women’s golf team, I have had three unforgettable tournament travels to the Bahamas, Colorado and Arizona.

What was your favorite class and why?

Being part of the Traffick Jam brand team was an enriching experience. This class was designed to raise awareness about human trafficking through education and actions. By joining this team, I had the opportunity to create positive change in my community, connect with others, and take action toward ending human trafficking.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Build valuable relationships, both personally and professionally, most of which will last a lifetime. Learn how to manage your time to seek a balanced and healthy schedule. Lastly, explore the world and be open-minded to people and opportunities.

How did Mercer prepare you for your future?

Developing communication skills has been crucial in building strong relationships, expressing ideas clearly, and achieving personal and professional goals. Mercer has helped me feel more confident and fearless. Additionally, applying these skills in real-world situations, such as through internships and research projects, has prepared me for a successful future.

What makes Mercer special to you?

Mercer sets apart in a sense of closeness and connection that you just don’t get at larger schools. This family-like atmosphere is further enhanced by the individualized approach to teaching and support. Mercer recognizes that every student is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. It’s an environment that encourages you to be your best self, and that’s something truly special.
