About Media Relations
Mercer University’s Media Relations office serves as a liaison between the University and the news media. The office works to inform the media about Mercer’s outstanding research, exceptional community outreach, innovative academic programs, major awards and recognition, expert opinions and major events. Media Relations issues all news releases on behalf of the University and helps to coordinate media requests to visit campus or interview faculty, students and staff.

All Mercer University staff and professors are welcomed and encouraged to speak with the media regarding their areas of expertise. Campus Access for News Media
Members of the news media are welcome to any of Mercer University’s campuses or centers. As a courtesy, please notify Media Relations in advance of your visit by contacting Jennifer Fairfield-Williams at (478) 301-4037 or fairfield_j@mercer.edu. Prior permission is required for news media access to certain facilities, including classrooms, medical facilities, laboratories and residence halls.
Commercial Projects
All commercial, non-news photography or videotaping must be approved in advance by Mercer University Office of Marketing Communications, call (478) 301-5700.

Photos for the Media
The Office of Marketing Communications works with professional photographers at events throughout the year and keeps an archive of photos of campus facilities, faculty and staff. Photographs are available to media upon request through the Office of Marketing Communications.
