WHAT: “What’s Cooking Challenge” – The Fresh Food Company’s catering executive chef, Louis Piassick, competes against Mercer student, Stacey Chance, to create a three-course meal from surprise ingredients.

WHERE: The Fresh Food Company, Mercer University’s Connell Student Center, 1400 Coleman Ave., Macon


WHY: Inspired by the popular Food Network television show, “Iron Chef,” Mercer’s “What’s Cooking Challenge” lets students face-off against different campus personalities in a culinary competition. Mercer’s newest dining venue, The Fresh Food Company, provides the setting for this exhibition-style cooking challenge. The show is taped by Studio M, a student-run organization, set up to produce original content for airing on television. The program airs on Channel 99, the campus channel provided in agreement with Cox Cable to run movies and student created content for on-campus residents.
