Nicole Metzger, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, and clinical professor of pharmacy practice at Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy, has been named a 2025 Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). It is the highest recognition of membership within the national professional organization.

The fellowship designation (FCCP) honors pharmacists who have demonstrated sustained excellence in clinical practice, research and service to the profession. Peers nominate candidates and undergo a rigorous review of their professional accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the ACCP.

“Dr. Metzger has been an important and valued member of our faculty for years,” said interim College of Pharmacy Dean Dr. Pamela Moye. “Her dedication to patient care, student mentorship and the advancement of clinical pharmacy exemplifies the highest standards of our profession. This is a well-deserved honor that reflects her ongoing impact at Mercer and beyond.”

Those selected for the fellowship are recognized as leaders in advancing clinical pharmacy practice and scholarship. Fellows often serve as ambassadors for the organization.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized as a fellow of ACCP. I could not have achieved this recognition on my own and appreciate the dedicated support of my mentors, colleagues, trainees and family,” Dr. Metzger said. “My goal has always been to optimize each patient’s medications and to train the next generation of pharmacists to do the same.”
