Glennessa Hodge recently graduated from Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy.
What are your plans after graduation?
I have a postgraduate year one residency at Emory University Hospital.
Who was your favorite professor and why?
Dr. Christine Klein, clinical associate professor, because she is an inspirational woman, an educator and advocate for her students. She understands how busy things can get for pharmacy students and that life never stops happening just because you’re in school.
What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?
Meeting my friend group. They are an amazing set of individuals that I hope to be friends with for many years to come.
How do you plan on changing the world?
By listening to and being an advocate for my patients. By striving to work at the top of my license to give my patients the best outcomes possible.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Get involved early. Find your niche and grow it.
What makes Mercer special to you?
Mercer has long since been my dream school because of the close knit atmosphere, the beautiful campus, the individualized care offered to students and the opportunities the University works diligently to get us. Mercer has been my home for the last four years, and my time here will be remembered fondly.
