Samanta Schultz is graduating from Mercer University’s School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in mechanical engineering.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan on working as a staff mechanical engineer at Mercer Engineering Research Center and pursuing my Master of Science in Engineering at Mercer!
Who was your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Stephen Hill, he always knows what to say! He is such an encouraging mentor and will help anyone out.
What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?
One of my favorite Mercer memories is going to the Homecoming game sophomore year! It was a packed game, but it also rained out and was cold, but something about experiencing it with people together is so much more fun.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Try to get involved in things as early as you can! Getting involved in clubs, campus ministries, churches is so pivotal to a college career. I think most people wait to get involved, but it is so important to figuring out who and what you want out of life.
What makes Mercer special to you?
Mercer has brought me some of my dearest friends, and it has always been a place of growth and independence for me. It genuinely is such an amazing place for college, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
