Teresita Cabral graduated from Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology and criminal justice.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan on continuing modeling and studying for the LSAT to go to law school!
Who was your favorite professor and why?
Professor Brandi Lewis will always be a favorite. She always checked in on students and made sure the class understood everything. Subjects I never expected to pass I fully succeed in. Beyond academics, she was always a helping hand.
What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?
Probably the laughter I’ve had with my friends. Going onto Cruz Plaza doing picnics to hang out with friends in the sun. Or seeing other students pass by who always say, “Hey,” or ask me for advice. Being that beacon on campus and building a loving community.
What was your favorite class and why?
Professor Candace Evans’ child development psych class. I learned so much that falls into all of my other courses. It was great to work with and understand children. Completely engaging and rewarding.
How do you plan on changing the world?
I want to build opportunity and space for minority girls, Latina and Black girls who look like me. Give them an education and the ability to see women that look like them in power .
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Be yourself and take the time to know yourself. You are here to grow and experience life! Do so and make the most of it with every opportunity you take.
