It takes a lot of people to make Mercer University the institution that it is. The students have and always will be the lifeblood of our University, but Mercer wouldn’t be Mercer without expert faculty members to pass on their knowledge and highly-skilled staff members to manage day-to-day operations. Our “Worker Bears” series highlights the Mercer employees who work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to care for our University and our students.

Meet Kaye Miller

Title: Mercer Medicine campus health manager for the Macon and Atlanta campuses

How long she’s worked at Mercer: Since September 2011

What she does: Mercer Student Health provides a wide range of medical care to students, including evaluation, treatment, vaccinations and lab work, as well as education, a vital element for the Mercer family. Miller, a registered nurse, was a nurse and office manager for Mercer Medicine before taking on her current role in December 2020.

“My duties include working with administration, faculty, staff, students and their parents in an effort to ensure the best care possible that we can for our campus and community,” Miller said.

What she loves most about her work: “I enjoy working with everyone at Mercer and Mercer Medicine, from administration to staff. We’re a family dedicated to caring for our community, Mercer and beyond. It takes every member of the team to give the best support possible. Every person plays an important part.”
