It takes a lot of people to make Mercer University the institution that it is. The students have and always will be the lifeblood of our University, but Mercer wouldn’t be Mercer without expert faculty members to pass on their knowledge and highly-skilled staff members to manage day-to-day operations. Our “Worker Bears” series highlights the Mercer employees who work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to care for our University and our students.

Meet TD Felder

Title: Lead cook at Fresh Food Company on the Macon campus

How long he’s worked at Mercer: Six and a half years

What he does: Felder prepares delicious dishes for students, faculty and staff on the Macon campus. As lead cook, he rotates through the food stations at Fresh Food Company in the Connell Student Center to make sure everything is running smoothly and often runs the grill. He also works concessions for Mercer sporting events, one of his favorite parts of the job.

What he loves most about his work: While his job can be hectic, Felder said he enjoys “the different people I get to meet all the time. I have fun just being able to talk to the young guys.”
