ATLANTA—Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University student Curlissa Pauldo Mapp, R.N., recently was awarded the prestigious Ethnic Minority Masters Scholarship from the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation.
Mapp, a Snellville resident, was one of two nursing students nationwide to receive the $3,000 scholarship. She is currently a second-year student in Mercer’s Georgia Baptist College of Nursing master of science in nursing program and works as an oncology nurse at Emory University Hospital.
After earning her master’s degree, the 31-year-old hopes to enter nursing education and to teach cancer patients as well as the general public how to treat and prevent cancer.
