MACON/ATLANTA – Mercer University has named Jason Rollins director of graduate recruiting for the University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics. Rollins previously served as marketing manager for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In his new position at Mercer, he will oversee recruiting efforts for a number of programs within the School.

“We are extremely pleased that Jason has accepted this new role,” said Dr. David Shields, dean of the Stetson School of Business and Economics. “Jason’s experience in community outreach and marketing will be invaluable in the development and growth of our graduate business programs.”

Among the programs for which Rollins will recruit are the flexible evening Master of Business Administration, Professional MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Accountancy, the combined Bachelor of Business Administration/MBA and the combined BBA/MAcc, as well as the MBA/MAcc joint degree and the one-year daytime MBA. Mercer’s graduate business courses are currently offered at campuses in Atlanta, Macon, Savannah and Henry County.

“My job is to continue to recruit high-quality students into Mercer’s nationally recognized graduate business programs,” Rollins said. “In this tough economic climate, a graduate degree can be a critical factor in career advancement. With the variety of programs that Mercer offers, we can meet the needs of even the busiest working professional. We’re excited to continue to expand our footprint across Georgia.”

At Children’s, Rollins provided strategic and tactical planning and support to achieve system and specific service line goals through the development and execution of strategic marketing and public relations plans, community outreach, media relations, competitive analysis and professional development of staff. Prior to joining Children’s, Rollins served at Edelman, where he provided strategic public relations and crisis communications support for several consumer brands including: Atlantic Station, Char-Broil, Georgia-Pacific, HEAD, HoneyBaked Ham and Party City.

Rollins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and an MBA in 2009 from the Stetson School of Business and Economics.
