Show your Mercer spirit this weekend as the Bears face the No. 25 Chattanooga Mocs at 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at Five Star Stadium. Here are three things to know before you go.
Mercer is 2-0 at home this season
The Bears (4-2, 2-1 SoCon) have captured each of their first two home games of the 2023 season, outscoring their opponents 86-25. Mercer opened its home schedule on Sept. 9 with a 48-22 victory over Morehead State and used a dominant defensive effort to thwart Southern Conference rival VMI 38-3 on Sept. 20. The Bears are now coming off a road game where they beat East Tennessee State 24-6.
The party’s on Black Field
Black Field is your home base for tailgating, with gates opening for pregame festivities at 11 a.m. At the Fall Line Beer Garden, fans ages 21 and older may enjoy locally brewed craft beer, including Ol’ Toby Easy Ale, the official beer of Mercer Athletics. At Dr Pepper Fansville, kids can jump and play on inflatables. Continue tailgating while watching Georgia vs. Vanderbilt on the big screen at noon. The Ford Football Concert Series kicks off at 12:30 p.m. with country musician Lauren Watkins, followed by Warner Robins native and country musician Travis Denning at 1:45 p.m. Don’t forget to make your way over the Bear Walk at 1:30 p.m. to high-five the Bears as they head over to Five Star Stadium.
It’s 478 Day

In addition to highlighting local businesses and communities, Mercer Athletics is offering general admission tickets for just $4.78.
