Ballroom Dance Club celebrates International Dance Day with special dance

Mercer University‘s Ballroom Dance Club celebrated International Dance Day April 29 with a special choreographed dance.

Participating in the dance, from left to right, were Trey Dennard, a senior double-majoring in history and Spanish; Bethanyanne Newton, a senior majoring in biology; Noah De Mers, a junior majoring in chemical commerce; Sarah Storch, a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering; Ben Parisi, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering; and Cheyanne Harris, a freshman majoring in biology.

The Ballroom Dance Club meets at 8 p.m. Mondays in Penfield Hall. Students in the club learn a variety of styles of ballroom dance, including the cha-cha, swing, tango and waltz. The club often holds dances at Mercer and attends dances around Macon and Atlanta.
