Building Closure for Summer 2015

The Law School building will be closed May 23-June 15 and June 27-July 5 for asbestos abatement. Much-needed renovations to the second floor will impact access to the building.

Many offices will be relocated as staff will continue to work during this time. Phones will be forwarded appropriately. Please leave a voicemail if someone does not answer.

Registrar's Office:

From May 23-July 5, the Registrar's Office will be relocated to 400 Poplar Street, offices 131 and 132. The staff will return to the Law School building on July 6.

Financial Aid:

From May 23-July 5, the Financial Aid Office will be relocated to 400 Poplar Street, office 133. The staff will return to the Law School building on July 6.

Law Library: 

The Law Library will be closed to the public until August 10, 2015.

Services for Mercer Law Students, Faculty and Staff: 

During the weeks that the law school building is closed for asbestos abatement, May 23 – June 13, and June 27 – July 5, law librarians will provide reference service by telephone and email between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding May 25 and July 3).

During the weeks that the law school building is open during the summer, the law library will not be accessible due to construction. However, high demand items are being relocated and some materials will be available for checkout. Call the circulation desk to inquire:  478-301-2612.

Services for Local Attorneys: 

From May 23-June 15 and June 27-July 5, law library services will not be available. Even when the Law School building is open this summer, the law library will not be accessible due to the construction. However, when the law school building is open, reference services will be available to local attorneys by telephone, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., (excluding holidays) at 478-301-2334.  To check out print materials when the law school building is open, call the circulation desk at 478-301-2612 to determine availability.
