MACON - Herman Cain, a nationally syndicated radio host and business owner, will be the featured speaker at The Executive Forum on Thursday, April 5. He will give a lunch presentation at noon at The InterContinental Buckhead, 3315 Peachtree Road N.E. in Atlanta. ATLANTA - Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in the Second Annual Claypool Classic 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 14, on Mercer University's Cecil B. Day Campus, 3001 Mercer University Drive. The 5K course includes 2.1 miles on the road and 1 mile on a cross-country trail that is somewhat hilly. The run is part of the Run & See Georgia Grand Prix series.

TOKYO - Mercer University's Binary Bears return to campus this weekend after a week in Tokyo, Japan, competing against the top computer programming college teams in the world at the 2007 ACM International Computer Programming Contest. The event concluded Thursday night with the awards ceremony where the Mercer team was recognized for Honorable Mention in North America, along with Harvard, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, and UNC Chapel Hill. MACON - Mercer's Binary Bears are 6,800 miles away preparing to compete in the 2007 ACM International Computer Programming Contest in Tokyo, Japan, but fans are just a mouse-click away from the latest updates on the team. Mercer's Computer Science Department has developed a way for fans of the computer programming team to keep up with the team's activities this week as the team prepares for, and competes in, the World Finals. The team arrived in Japan on Sunday, March 11, to compete against 88 teams from around the world, including only 20 other schools from the United States.
