Emily Ogbodo, a Class of 2023 graduate from Mercer University‘s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in global health studies and psychology.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan on earning my master’s degree in public health and going to physician assistant school.

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

One of my favorite Mercer memories is winning an Amazing Race event and getting a dozen donuts as a prize. My roommate and I ended up sharing the donuts with everyone in our dorm, and we made some new friends that day.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

The best advice I can give to incoming students is to take advantage of all the resources available to them at Mercer like the Academic Resource Center and the Center for Career and Professional Development.

How did Mercer prepare you for your future?

The variety of classes I took at Mercer helped me gain quantitative and qualitative research skills and improved my time management skills.

What makes Mercer special to you?

Mercer is special to me because of the memories I will always cherish. Being a student at Mercer also pushed me out of my comfort zone and really helped me grow as a person.
