Erinn McGuire, a 2021 graduate of Mercer University‘s Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

What are your plans after graduation?

This fall I’m headed to Northside Hospital in Atlanta to work on their inpatient oncology unit as a registered nurse.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Jennifer Bartlett is everything a professor should be. She’s kind, animated, and her love and passion for not only nursing but also teaching is so admirable. Truly thankful and grateful to have her as a teacher.

How do you plan on changing the world?

We are living in an unprecedented time with this pandemic, and I’m entering a profession that is essential in helping alleviate and combat it. So I plan on changing the world one patient at a time.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

You’ve got this! 100%! Whatever obstacles come your way, you will overcome and you will persevere. It may not feel like it in the moment, but the strength you possess and gain as you go through college will carry you through.

What makes Mercer special to you?

Mercer has allowed me to meet some pretty incredible people and walk away with friendships that are going to last a lifetime.
