Hailie Poppell

Hailie Poppell is graduating from Mercer University‘s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing and management.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be working for B. Monroe Salon and Boutique as their marketing strategist and boutique coordinator.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Dr. Tammy Crutchfield. She is a true Mercer Bear! Most teachers say they care about their students, but I can genuinely tell Dr. C does! She remembers everyone’s name, what they are into, and pushes each and every student to be their best. I will always remember the hands on experience, fun events and great leadership she shows. She inspires me more and more every time I talk with her!

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

One of my favorite Mercer memories was my first bid day! Running up the hill on Greek row and meeting all of my sorority sisters for the first time was the biggest rush of excitement. Who would’ve thought over the next four years I would meet my best friends and make even more memories with my sisters?

What was your favorite class and why?

My favorite class at Mercer was the agency management class taught by Matthew Micheal. This class was not only super fun due to a small class size and interactive environment, but in this class, I was able to fully understand what types of careers I could pursue with my degree and what positions I would enjoy the most after college.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

My advice to incoming students is don’t be shy! Get involved from day one and stay involved, and you will have the time of your life.
