Linda Phan is graduating from Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.

What are your plans after graduation?

Gap year, work as a medical assistant, then apply to physician assistant school.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Keegan Greenier. It’s obvious that he absolutely loves his job and is passionate about his courses/research. He is great at teaching and knows how to engage with the class. Dr. G is also kindhearted and has a wonderful sense of humor!

What was your favorite class and why?

Health psychology. This course was attached to the study abroad program in Italy. Not only did I learn a ton from the course, but I also had a blast in Italy with Dr. Amy Borchardt and my classmates!

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Get outside your comfort zone and branch out. It’s important to make new connections and relationships while in college as these people will help you grow as an individual.

How did Mercer prepare you for your future?

Having access to easily communicate with advisors and professors has been very beneficial for me in understanding what I must do to prepare for my future.
