Marc Reiser III

Marc Reiser III is a 2020 graduate of Mercer University‘s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.

What are your plans after graduation?

To attend the University of Notre Dame for the Master of Science in Accounting program.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Professor Stephanie Morris was my favorite. She had a really well-setup class and taught us well while also challenging us to make sure we were very well prepared.

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

My favorite Mercer memory I will always cherish is taking the opportunity to get involved. I was able to compete in cross country, join a social fraternity and serve on the executive board of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Being at a school like Mercer that pushes you to be the best version of yourself really helped me to accomplish much in a short time.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Be very diligent about your school work, but don’t let it consume you. Enjoy life and be social, and if you work hard in the classroom, it will balance out.

How did Mercer prepare you for your future?

By showing me how to work on my own. College was a big step up in personal accountability and responsibility, and Mercer really helped to integrate more and more personal responsibility through my undergraduate experience.

What makes Mercer special to you?

The people I have met. I have never felt more a part of a community, and I have made some incredible relationships with students and faculty alike.
