Pragya Sharma is graduating from Mercer University‘s School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be working full time at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. I will be coming back to Mercer in the fall to complete my master’s degree in electrical engineering and will be graduating in December 2021.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Kevin Barnett is my favorite professor. Since before I started going here, he made sure I felt welcome and everything was going well for me. He has always gone out of his way to make sure that my classes were going well and Mercer was treating me well.

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

Bearstock 2018. It was pre-COVID times and great memories with some great people. Also, I loved the performers!

How do you plan on changing the world?

With the education and degrees I will receive, I will make sure that I use my knowledge to better the world and develop technology that makes people’s lives easier. I aspire to be a real-life Iron Man (woman).

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Live in the moment. Share great memories with your friends. Time flies so don’t stress about the future, but be sure to enjoy the present.
