Mercer University has changed the dates for the annual Homecoming celebration from Nov. 6-8 to Oct. 29-31. The date change reflects a revised football schedule.

Mercer has scheduled contests at Jacksonville State and Army, while its Homecoming contest on Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. will feature Abilene Christian University of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Mercer will compete in Southern Conference football games during the spring semester.

Homecoming is historically the flagship alumni and friends event of the year on Mercer’s Macon campus. Student-related Homecoming events will continue, though some individual events will necessarily have a revised format reflecting physical distancing and masking requirements.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the University will forego all indoor alumni events associated with Homecoming, including the annual Half Century Club gathering, the Class of 1970 and other class reunions, and the Alumni Awards Dinner.

Details for future plans will be posted at homecoming.mercer.edu as they become available.
