McAfee Hires New Enrollment Associate

ATLANTA – McAfee School of Theology is proud to announce the hire of Tamela M. Patterson of Stone Mountain, GA as the new enrollment associate in the admissions office.

Patterson's main job responsibilities include managing the work flow of the admissions office as well as functioning as the coordinator for major events such as prospective student visits, orientation, and preview conferences.

When asked about the recent hire, Dean Culpepper said, “We welcome Tamela into our community and look forward to her fresh sparkle and caring presence.”

Patterson comes to McAfee by way of Delta Airlines where she served as a flight attendant for the past five years.  She said in a recent interview, “I've travelled all over the world assisting and serving customers. I love helping and assisting in hospitality in whatever capacity is needed. I feel I have real gifts in this area. I loved my time at Delta, but I couldn't turn down the chance to continue to use my gifts for something that I believe in – ministry.”

Libby Allen, director of admissions, agrees that Patterson will bring a much needed presence to the admissions staff. “Tamela,” said Libby, “has a natural warmth and vitality. Exactly what we're looking for on our admissions staff.”

Patterson officially started at Mercer last week, and you can find her stationed at the main desk in the admissions suite at McAfee School of Theology.
