MACON — McEachern Art Center (the MAC) is presenting a group showing of Mercer art students’ work titled “MUart: Work in Progress.” The show will open on Dec. 14 with a reception at 6 p.m.

MAC Director Johnny Cohen said he is excited to share this past semester’s body of student work with Mercer and the rest of the Macon community.

“This exhibition showcases the vast amount of creative work that powers the Mercer Art Department,” he said. “We are displaying how our unique philosophy in art education is discipline-based and focuses on professional practice. In addition, we are showing how the development of art creates experiences both on an individual and communal level.”
