Mercer University has partnered with Campus Travel Management to offer discounted hotel rates with no service fees to University visitors.

The special rates and waived fees are now available at select Macon-area hotels and soon will be offered at hotels near Mercer’s other campuses in Atlanta, Savannah and Columbus, said Ken Boyer, associate vice president for auxiliary services. The discount can vary depending on room availability but can typically range from 5% to 15%, he said.

“It’s really for anybody that’s visiting the University — parents, prospective students, people coming in for concerts at The Grand Opera House, athletic events, you name it,” Boyer said.

Visitors looking to book a hotel using the new service should go to campustravel.com/university/mercer-university. The site offers hotels at various price points and during high volume periods allows users to compare rates at multiple hotels with just one click.

There is no extra cost to the visitor for using this service, Boyer said. In addition, Campus Travel Management provides free personal customer service.

Campus Travel Management works with more than 112 universities nationwide to connect campus visitors with a curated list of nearby hotels. Including Mercer, it has five partner colleges and universities in Georgia.

“It’s a good concierge service for guests that are coming to campus, and that’s what we’re trying to provide,” Boyer said.
