It takes a lot of people to make Mercer University the institution that it is. The students have and always will be the lifeblood of our University, but Mercer wouldn’t be Mercer without expert faculty members to pass on their knowledge and highly-skilled staff members to manage day-to-day operations. Our “Worker Bears” series highlights the Mercer employees who work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to care for our University and our students.

Meet Michelle Beavers

Title: Campus Services Coordinator

How long she’s worked at Mercer: 16 years

What she does: “I coordinate and schedule all event setups on campus, from the ‘Bear Beginnings’ MU class photo to graduation and everything in between. We strive to make Mercer events fun and memorable for our students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.”

What she loves most about her work: “What I love the most about my work at Mercer is that we are truly a family. I work with a great team; I could not do it alone. I work hard but have fun. My job is far from boring. Be the spirit. Be the difference. Be the Bear!”
