Jennifer Nguyen, B.S., MPH, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Nguyen earned her Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Florida and her Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida. She comes to the College of Pharmacy from the National Cancer Institute where she was a postdoctoral fellow since January 2017. There she managed a project aimed to advance research on skin cancer and UV protective behaviors via agent based modeling and used social media to explore the reach and impact of cancer awareness campaigns. She previously served as a postdoctoral associate and research programs manager at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

 

Raquibul Hasan, B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Hasan received his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh and his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He comes to the College of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where he was a postdoctoral fellow in vascular physiology. His research interest lies in understanding how ion channels and associated signaling pathways regulate physiological processes and how they can be targeted using pharmacological and genetic tools to correct pathological alterations in diseases, especially those of the cardiovascular system. Dr. Hasan has published more than 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is the recipient of a grant from the American Heart Association.
