On Friday March 6, more than 50 students participated in an afternoon Dodgeball for Dreams Tournament held at Central City park to help raise funds for the Methodist Children's Home. The event raised over $1,500 to support the local charity that offers many services, including a residential program, emergency placement services for children, and several community-based and educational services. James Banter, second-year student and president of the Business and Tax Law Society, said “Dodging for Dreams was a big success because of the willingness of the Mercer Law community to come together to help a worthy and impactful local organization. It is vital for law students to be active in our local community, and partnering with the Methodist Home is just one example of Mercer Law School giving back to Central Georgia.” The tournament was sponsored by the Business and Tax Law Society, Real Estate Law Society and Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
