Adriana Ibarra Vazquez, a third-year Mercer law student, was one the 25 Latino law students from around the nation chosen to attend the Hispanic National Bar Association/Microsoft Corporation Intellectual Property Law Institute after a competitive applications process.
The institute, which is designed to provide opportunities for Latino law students interested in intellectual property law, is a summer immersion experience that will take place in Washington, D.C. It focuses on patents, copyrights, trade secrets and trademarks, and will include classroom instruction, hands-on experience, writing workshops, visits to government institutions, and the chance to meet members of the IP law community.
Ibarra Vazquez is currently the President of Mercer's Technology and Intellectual Property Law Society, and the Vice President of Mercer's Hispanic Law Student Association. She is licensed by the State Bar of Georgia as Foreign Law Consultant and to Practice in Mexico.
