The Mercer Bears will face the VMI Keydets on the gridiron this weekend. Here are three things to know before you go.
1. There’s live music before the game.
Celebrate with live music before the game on Black Field with the Ford Concert Series featuring Georgia’s own Jon Langston, along with Priscilla Block and Chris Bandi. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and also include bounce houses and food trucks.
2. Fall Line hosts OktoBEARfest.
Fans have the opportunity to purchase a specialty ticket for OktoBEARfest, hosted by Fall Line Brewing Co. The specialty ticket, which costs $30, includes a souvenir stein and three Fall Line brews, plus a ticket to the game. Buy online using “prost” as the coupon code.
3. Bears lead the series.
The Bears are 5-2 against the Keydets, with VMI taking last year’s matchup 41-14. The Bears’ Ethan Dirrim led the team with three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.
