Executive Forum to Bring Outstanding Lineup to Atlanta Campus

ATLANTA – As Georgia’s premier business enrichment program, Mercer University’s Executive Forum, a membership-based speaker series designed to link the business community to Mercer’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, will bring in some of the nations most sought-after speakers to its Atlanta campus for the 2002-2003 speaker series.

Kicking-off the fall series will be economist Todd Buchholz, co-founder and managing director of Enso Management. He will give a lunch presentation titled “Is the Economy Headed Higher – Or Off a Cliff?,” beginning at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 24. In October, Tucker Carlson, co-host of CNN’s Crossfire and Bill Press, former co-host of Crossfire and current co-host of MSNBC’s Buchanan and Press, will give a lunch presentation, which will include a lively debate followed by Q&A from the audience, beginning at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 29. Finishing up the fall series will be Pete Babcock, vice president and general manager of the Atlanta Hawks. He will give a lunch presentation at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 19.

For the spring series, Fred Schwab, president and chief executive officer of Porsche Cars North America Inc., will give a lunch presentation at noon, Tuesday, March, 18. In April, Paula Rosput, chairman, president and chief executive officer of AGL Resources, will give a lunch presentation at noon, Tuesday, April 29. Allen Franklin, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Southern Company, will complete the series in May, at a time to be determined. All presentations will be in the Trustees’ Dining Room on Mercer’s Atlanta campus.

Established in 1979, the Executive Forum serves as a resource for working professionals in Atlanta and Macon and provides an opportunity for executives to hear from some of the country’s most sought-after speakers, while interacting with other business leaders.
