WHO: 650 Gwinnett County 1st through 5th grade students
WHAT: Students are participating in creative writing workshops taught by Mercer University graduate students and alumni as a part of the University’s College for Kids program.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 22, through Friday, July 25. Daily, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Mercer University Cecil B. Day Campus 3001 Mercer University Drive, Atlanta (Just off I-85, one exit inside of the perimeter)
BACKGROUND: Students in the program were nominated by their teachers based on the students’ interest and talent in creative writing. One piece of each student’s writing will be published in a hardback book that will be given to the participants and their school libraries in the fall. This is the third and final week of the summer enrichment program.
