Best-selling author Pat Conroy will be the featured speaker at the 14th annual Mercer University Authors Luncheon, sponsored by Mercer University Press.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Swissotel in Buckhead, Atlanta.

Conroy, one of the South’s most beloved authors, penned The Great Santini and The Prince of Tides. He will sign copies of his latest book, My Losing Season, before and after the luncheon.

Thirteen additional authors will participate in the event. They will have copies of their latest books for sale and will sign individual copies before and after the luncheon, which begins at noon. Conroy’s speech will follow and will include a reading of an excerpt from My Losing Season.

Known as one of Atlanta’s premier literary events of the fall, the Authors Luncheon will have the colorful and amusing Robert L. Steed once again as the master of ceremonies. Ruth West and Dr. Robert Wells are co-chairs of the event.

Tables of 10 can be reserved for $1,250. Individual tickets will go on sale for $125 in early October. Proceeds of the event benefit the Mercer University Press, one of the nation’s leading academic publishing houses. A portion of the ticket cost is tax deductible.
