Atlanta—Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy’s community pharmacy practice resident Peace Johnson was recently honored with a Presentation Merit Award from the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management (APhA-APPM).
In the Residency Report on Research in Progress Category, Johnson was recognized for her presentation of a poster titled “Pharmacist and Patient Perceptions about Community Pharmacy Based Immunization Services.” She competed with postgraduate pharmacy students from across the nation for the award, which recognizes exceptional work in poster presentations on practice-related subjects made at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition Poster Session in Seattle, Wash. Johnson received her undergraduate and doctor of pharmacy degrees from Texas Southern University.
With more than 100 years of experience, the Southern School of Pharmacy is a recognized leader in pharmacy education. Receiving a record 1,822 applicants for this fall, the School has the highest applicant to student ratio in the nation.
