(MACON) Mercer University will host its annual Holiday Open House at the Woodruff House Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 6-8 p.m. nightly. The Woodruff House, one of Macon's grand antebellum homes, is located at 988 Bond St., adjacent to the University's Walter F. George School of Law.   For the past decade, residents and visitors alike have made this holiday event a family tradition. Each year, the rooms throughout the Greek Revival mansion are adorned with new decorations and themes, making the annual tour an exciting event for all - even the most frequent guest. ATLANTA - The English Language Institute of Mercer University will sponsor an International Fair from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, on the Atlanta campus, 3001 Mercer University Dr. The fair will showcase information on 21 countries that Mercer students call home, including the Republic of Korea, Colombia, Taiwan, and Venezuela.

ATLANTA - Several Mercer pharmacy students recently competed to represent the Southern School of Pharmacy at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) clinical skills competition  to be held in Las Vegas, Nev., this coming December.

The national tour of Miss Saigon will make its Macon premiere at The Grand Opera House, a performing arts center of Mercer University, Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 19-20. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20. The Mercer University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Douglas Hill, director of Instrumental Ensembles, College of Liberal Arts, will present its fall concert,  A Night of Latin Fantasies, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18. ATLANTA - Twenty-four national and regional authors, including the popular host of CNN Headline News' legal analysis program, Nancy Grace, will be featured at the 16th annual Mercer University Press Authors Luncheon. Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel at the Cobb Galleria, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. with a reception and book signing, followed by lunch and speakers at 11:45 a.m.
MACON - Mercer University will mark the start of construction on its new Science and Engineering Building at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the lot adjacent to the School of Engineering. The event coincides with the University's celebration of the School of Engineering's 20th anniversary.
