Macon and Atlanta- More than 1,600 students are expected to participate in graduation ceremonies on Mercer University's Macon and Atlanta campuses over the next month.  Awarding bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, the University will hold nine commencement ceremonies and hear from an array of renowned speakers. Mercer Law Professor Patrick Longan, holder of the William Augustus Bootle Chair in Ethics and Profesionalism, was named by the American Bar Association as the recipient of the second National Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching Professionalism.
Students of the Mercer Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at The Grand Opera House in downtown Macon.   WHO:  Mercer University first-year engineering students   WHAT:  Students are designing and constructing vehicles using K'Nex building toys to compete in the following categories: boat, amphibious, dragster, cable car, rampster and tug-o-war.   WHEN:  Friday, April 22, 3-5 p.m.   WHERE:  University Center on Mercer's Macon Campus   WHY:  The students enrolled in EGR 107 - the first-year engineering course - have been designing and building vehicles using K'Nex building kits.
