Dalgarn is currently associate dean of student affairs at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., where she has served for more than 20 years. Two Mercer University programming teams placed third and fourth at the Southeastern Small College Programming Contest in Nashville, Tenn. The two teams correctly coded computer programming solutions to four problems, including one problem that required the team to write a software program for electrical routing. Mercer was the only school to have two teams finish in the top 10.
