MACON – Mercer Innovation Center (MIC) Open MIC Night this week will feature Ronald G. Jones II, founder and CEO of Aunis Health, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and will take place in the MIC, located in the former Religious Life Center on the Macon campus.
Jones began his career working in forensic medicine for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation before transitioning into commercial health care. He drew from these experiences to found Aunis Health, a biomedical firm dedicated to combining science and art to innovate and develop patient-centric health solutions.
Jones earned bachelor's degrees in biology and family and consumer science from the University of Georgia and was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson for the Executive MBA program in the Terry College of Business. He has served as a visiting professor at Rutgers University and Strayer University, as well as on several local and national boards.
Earlier this year, the Mercer Innovation Center began hosting Open MIC Night as part of its programming intended to develop the already rich and thriving culture of entrepreneurism at Mercer, as well as to foster relationships, network and collaborate with entrepreneurs, the local community, other universities and beyond.
