MACON – Leslie Graham, a senior marketing major in Mercer University's Stetson School of Business and Economics, recently received the 2016 Mr. and Mrs. Sidney A. Sparks Provincial Collegian of the Year Award.
The award – presented annually to outstanding collegiate members of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional fraternity devoted to the study of business in universities – recognizes personal and academic achievement, leadership, service and fraternal commitment. In addition to the award, Graham received a $750 scholarship.
A marketing major with minors in anthropology and photography, Graham, from Lakeland, Florida, will work at GEICO as an emerging leader starting this summer.
She has been an active member of Delta Sigma Pi since 2013, serving as chapter president and vice president for chapter operations and professional activities. Following graduation, she looks forward to starting an alumni chapter for Middle Georgia residents and remaining actively involved with the fraternity.
Graham has held multiple leadership roles as a student, including president and director of public relations of the Residence Hall Association and vice president of Omicron Delta Kappa. She has been a member of Mercer Friends of Tattnall Square Park, the Student Government Association and Relay for Life, and has worked as assistant video coordinator for the football team and as a member of Bear Force.
