When Mercer University students return to campus in the fall, they’ll receive a small white box, sealed with a “Bears Care” sticker.
Inside this Bears Care kit, they’ll find a number of personal hygiene items and tips to help keep the campus community safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here’s what’s inside:
- Mercer cloth mask
- Bottle of hand sanitizer
- Digital thermometer
- Bears Care button pin
- Sticker listing Student Health Center hotline number and COVID-19 symptoms
- Information card on proper mask usage and personal hygiene tips
- Bears Care pledge card
Faculty and staff volunteers already packed 600 Bears Care kits for students and faculty who are on campus for Summer Session II, which began June 22.
Students enrolled in classes for the fall semester and the rest of Mercer’s faculty and staff will receive kits in August.
