The School of Music will present the musical variety show “From Bach to Bluegrass: A Concert for the Cure” on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Fickling Hall in the McCorkle Music Building on the Macon campus.
Associate Professor of Music Martha Malone has organized the breast cancer benefit concert that will feature Mercer music faculty and regional performers presenting a diverse program of music and entertainment covering the musical genres of classical, Broadway, jazz, folk, bluegrass and others. “Our promise is to ‘save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.’ This benefit is going to help us fulfill our promise,” said Amy Gerwig Walker, mission outreach coordinator for the Central Georgia Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
