He didn't even own a bike.But this summer, he and three other Mercer students will cycle from San Francisco to Washington, D.C., covering 4,000 miles during 64 days. Two other students will serve as their crew members and travel with them in vans.
ATHLETIC AUCTION ITEMS MACON, Ga. - Mercer's 19th annual "Big Auction," to benefit the Bears' athletic program, will be held Tuesday, May 15, at the Grand Opera House. Silent items will be up for bid from 12-7 p.m., with live items going on the block at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
MACON - Four Mercer University seniors saw their yearlong effort to develop a plan for a "college town" corridor connecting the University with downtown Macon take a major step forward Friday. MACON - Mercer University's National Engineering Advisory Board elected Dan Nale, P.E. Ph.D., vice president for Mid-Cabin Programs at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. as chairman on Wednesday, April 25. Nale has been a board member since 1999 and succeeds the board's longest serving chairman, L. Donald LaTorre, who led the board for 12 years.
ATLANTA - Mercer University will hold commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 5, for nearly 200 future health care professionals in pharmacy and nursing at its Cecil B. Mercer is featured in the 2008 edition of "America's Best Value Colleges," released today.
