A few years ago, there was a television comedy every Tuesday night on ABC called "Grace Under Fire."
The Mercer Law School has been ranked 11th nationally by the National Jurist magazine on its "Technology Honor Roll." In its January 2005 issue, the magazine ranked Mercer 11th among the nation's 190 American Bar Association-accredited law schools for its use of technology.
MACON-Mercer University students Stephanie Cox, a junior music education major from Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and John Jenkins, a senior music major from Macon, will perform in Alice Tully Hall of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City on Feb. 25. Cox and Jenkins were chosen from small universities across the United States to participate in the Small College Intercollegiate Band, as part of the College Band Directors National Association's biannual convention. MACON, Ga.-  Junior forward Will Emerson was named to the 2005 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Men's Basketball District III team announced Thursday.   The St. Mary's, Ga., native carries a perfect 4.0 grade average while majoring in biology.   "We are proud of Will's accomplishments in the classroom," said Mercer head coach Mark Slonaker. "He has challenged himself to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA, and he has worked extremely hard to reach that goal. Will is a shining example of a true student-athlete. He represents Mercer University both on and off the court in the highest possible manner."   Already a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree, Emerson has started every game for the Bears this season and is third on the team in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game.
