Bella Doane, a Class of 2023 graduate of Mercer University‘s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and management.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am moving to South Carolina to work in event marketing.
Who was your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor was Dr. Tammy Crutchfield, professor of marketing. She always wanted the best for me and gave me amazing advice on my career and helped me find my niche.
What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?
Homecoming week my freshman year and winning the lip sync battle!
What was your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was marketing research, in which I was a part of Traffick Jam and was able to put my creativity into events to help raise money for the brand to help prevent sex trafficking in Macon.
How do you plan on changing the world?
I plan on changing the world by showing others that it’s all about the effort you put toward your passion. Mercer taught me that passion and perseverance takes you so far.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Put yourself out there and stick with clubs and organizations you join. You’ll meet the best people! And don’t be afraid to ask professors questions or for advice; they’re there to help, and we have a unique opportunity where professors know us as students and want the best for us.
How did Mercer prepare you for your future?
Mercer prepared me for my future by giving me a multitude of opportunities and preparing me for the business world through resume prep.
What makes Mercer special to you?
Mercer is so personal. Everyone knows your name. From the second you’re accepted, you aren’t just another student or another number, you’re you! Professors make an effort to create personal relationships with you to offer advice on your career and academics.
