Kristina Carbone, a 2021 graduate of Mercer University‘s College of Pharmacy, earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be completing a pharmacy residency at Shepherd Center in Atlanta. My co-resident and I will be the first ever pharmacy residents there!

What is one of your favorite Mercer memories?

My favorite Mercer memories are going on two Mercer On Mission trips — one to the Republic of Georgia and one to Ecuador. I learned so much on both of these trips, and both were such incredible, unique opportunities that I was able to participate in during my undergrad experience at Mercer.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Always challenge yourself and take any opportunities that are given to you. Pharmacy school is extremely difficult, but taking on additional responsibilities, such as leadership roles, work experiences and attending conferences, makes it even more rewarding.

How did Mercer prepare you for your future?

Mercer prepared me for the future because of all of the opportunities I have been allowed to have by attending the University. I was able to complete several unique rotations during my fourth year of pharmacy school around the Atlanta area and was able to have the opportunity to complete the advanced clinical track program to prepare me for residency.

What makes Mercer special to you?

Mercer is special to me because of the incredible friends that I have made throughout my time here. I am a Double Bear, so over the past eight years I spent at Mercer, I have made some of my best friends that I will forever be thankful for!
